Registered Nurse - Telemetry & Cardiology

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Saturday call shift involves arriving at 7:00 AM to perform inpatient studies.

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with mandatory telemetry and cardiology experience. The RN will be responsible for performing various stress testing procedures within the Heart and Vascular Institute. This includes plain treadmill, nuclear stress tests, and stress echocardiograms. Cardiologists are onsite to read all studies, and a Nuclear Med Tech will be present for nuclear stress testing. The RN will be responsible for learning and implementing stress testing protocols, starting IVs, and pushing Definity as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress testing, including treadmill, nuclear stress, and echocardiogram procedures.
• Collaborate with onsite cardiologists and Nuclear Med Tech during testing procedures.
• Implement and adhere to established stress testing protocols.
• Start IVs and administer Definity as required.
• Conduct both inpatient and outpatient stress tests.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid state RN license.
• Telemetry and cardiology experience.
• Ability to learn and implement stress testing protocols.
