Job Title: RN - ED (Travel Position) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Variable Shifts (Mid Shifts and Night Shift) Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of current Emergency Department RN experience License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, ENPC Must-Have: - 1 year minimum of current Emergency Department RN experience - BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications - Ability to work mid-shift/night shift Description: The emergency department includes 11 beds, staffed by 2 RNs 24/7. A paramedic is available for 40 hours a week, with 1 MD present 24/7. Additional support includes 1 radiology tech and 1 security guard, both 24/7. Patient ratios are 1:4 for optimal care. The unit is equipped with GE monitors and Baxter pumps. The EMR system in use is Meditech. Candidates must be flexible, positive, and work well in a team environment. This is an excellent opportunity for RNs looking to enhance their skills in a dynamic setting. Typical procedures performed include EKGs, IV insertion, medication administration, conscious sedation, and wound care. The hiring profile values candidates with ER charge RN experience and those willing to float between ED departments.
