Manual Machinist - 2nd shift

Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking an experienced Machinist for our client in the Greensboro area. Candidates who apply need to have familiarity setting up, programming and operating a variety of Manual Machining equipment. This is a 2nd shift, Direct Hire opportunity.Pays up to $40hr DOE!Job Responsibilities:Set up, program, and operate manual equipment, including Haas, Okuma, and Bridgeport machinery.Produce parts from blueprints and technical drawings.Work with manual machine shop equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinding equipment.Prepare shop drawings as required.Use precision manual and some CNC measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and similar tools, to verify dimensions and tolerances.Inspect components to detailed specifications and tight tolerances.Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Perform work within estimated hours.Follow all manual safety procedures and specifications.Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties.Use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, in a safe manner.Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.Job RequirementsPrevious experience programming manual and CNC machines is required.High School Diploma or GED requiredPrevious experience with precision measuring.Familiarity with Haas, Okuma, Bridgeport, or similar equipment strongly preferred.Experience with FANUC controls is a plus.Ability to read blueprints and technical instructions.Proven history of excellent attendance.Benefits Offered:Medical & Dental InsuranceShort‐Term Disability InsuranceLife & Long‐Term Disability InsuranceVacation & Holiday Pay401K Retirement Plan & Other BenefitsExperience:Manual machiningCNC: at least 2 years (Required)Shift availability:2nd Shift 3pm to 130am/Mon - Thurs
