Help Desk Support Technician Location: Lowell MA Duration: 2–3 Month Contract Compensation: $20–$25/hour We’re partnering with a client seeking a Help Desk Support Technician to provide Tier 1 technical support during their busy season. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent IT graduate or someone who gained experience working on a college or university help desk and is looking to build hands‑on experience in a professional environment. This role is primarily phone-based support with some walk‑in assistance for end users. You’ll troubleshoot common hardware, software, account, and connectivity issues while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring users receive timely technical assistance. Responsibilities Provide Tier 1 technical support via phone, email, and walk‑up requests. Troubleshoot common hardware, software, password, and connectivity issues. Escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary. Document support requests and resolutions accurately. Deliver friendly, professional customer service to students, faculty, and staff. Support IT operations during the start of the academic year. Qualifications Previous help desk or customer‑facing technical support experience preferred. Recent IT graduates or candidates with college/university help desk experience are encouraged to apply. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dependable attendance. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service. Must be able to successfully pass a background check. Must be local to MA or NH.
