Position Summary: We are seeking an outstanding Traveling Electrician to support our all of our facilities with a home base near our Lebanon, PA or Amboy, NJ plants. This role requires approximately 60% travel to perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across our galvanizing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel to various V&S facilities to perform electrical maintenance and repair on plant equipment at the following locations:
- Perth Amboy, NJ, Columbus, OH, New Castle, DE, Detroit, MI, Jonestown, PA, Johnstown, PA, Memphis, TN, Owego, NY, and Taunton, MA
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including motors, panels, control systems, and hydraulic components.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Run conduit and wiring where needed.
- Support local maintenance teams at each site by providing technical expertise on electrical issues.
- Perform building and facility-related electrical repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspection logs.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly work environment while adhering to all safety standards and procedures.
- Assist with the installation, upgrade, or rebuild of machinery and electrical systems.
Qualifications, Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Ability to walk, stand, reach, bend, lift, push, and pull as part of daily responsibilities.
- Comfortable working in hot and cold environments typical of industrial facilities.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance/electrical experience required.
- Previous electrical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously with little to no direction.
- Ability to assist with heavy/major equipment repairs preferred.
- Must be able to travel approximately 60% of the time to various V&S plant locations.
