Logistics Specialist (Material Handler/Delivery Driver) Charlotte, NC Job Category: Operations Requisition Number: LOGIS008028 Posted: April 9, 2026 Full-Time Locations Charlotte, NC 28269, USA Description The primary role of the Logistics Specialist (LS) involves loading and unloading tires for warehouse storage and/or timely customer delivery, including the unloading and staging of products at the customer’s business location. The LS is expected to represent TireHub professionally in all customer interaction and maintain safe driving practices, all while delivering exceptional customer service and fostering strong customer relationships. Starting wage: $19.15 per hour with guaranteed increases of $2.00 over your first year. Hours: Monday through Saturday – fluctuating day shift hours. Roles and Responsibilities Distribute tasks for general warehousing, delivery services, and vehicle maintenance. Load, unload, inspect, and tally tires to and from transport vehicles (trailer trucks, box trucks, delivery vans). Follow safety standards for selecting, packing, counting, labeling, and palletizing customer orders, and use the bin locator system to position items. Operate forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct and participate in cycle counts, tallies, and labeling as part of inventory control procedures. Collect payments from customers on COD transactions. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and mechanical condition, including pre/post‑trip inspections and reporting issues. Complete driver and vehicle maintenance logs regularly. Ensure compliance with all TireHub policies and procedures. Participate in ongoing training and complete other tasks assigned by supervisors. Optimize work processes, manage ambiguity, drive results, collaborate with others, and communicate effectively. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to repeatedly lift, pull, push, and move tires up to 50 lbs., including frequent bending, twisting, and lifting. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Accurate and efficient loading, unloading, and placement of tires in warehouse and delivery vehicles. Work up to 35 feet above ground level and 8 hours per day on a forklift. Follow traffic rules and safely drive company vehicles under all conditions. Work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with manifest, GPS, and navigation systems. Maintain forklift certification and a valid driver’s license. Qualifications At least 1 year of general work experience. Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years driving history. Must be 19 years old or older. High school diploma or equivalent. Working Conditions Lift, pull, push, and move tires up to 50 lbs.; stand, walk, kneel, bend, crawl, climb as required. May handle hazardous materials and wear protective equipment (gloves, eyewear, etc.). Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Operate equipment in non‑climate‑controlled warehouses and customer locations. Extended day, evening, and weekend work (including Saturday) with little advance notice.
