Registered Nurse - Surgical Trauma ICU

Night shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Job Description

Join our dynamic Surgical Trauma ICU team, where you will provide high-quality care for critically ill patients. As a registered nurse in this advanced setting, you'll utilize your expertise in trauma and surgical critical care while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Surgical Trauma ICU.
• Monitor patients using advanced equipment and technologies, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Assist in procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, and central line placements.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy in accordance with protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner Power Chart system.
• Support patient families with compassion and clear communication.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Nursing License
• Active ACLS and BLS Certifications
• Acute Care ICU experience (Level I or Level II Trauma Centers)
• Previous experience in a Surgical Trauma ICU setting is required.
