Position overview

The Parts Business is a core profitability and customer satisfaction driver for Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) and its network of dealers.  Producing revenue in the hundreds of millions of dollars each year, Parts Business keeps Porsche drivers on the road through the supply of Genuine Parts to authorized Porsche dealers, independent repair facilities, and collision shops. The movement and health of parts inventory stocked within and distributed from the PCNA Parts Distribution Centers (PDC) as well as Porsche Centers is a critical component to this mission.    

PCNA Parts Business seeks a self-reliant, self-starter, who is equally imaginative, curious and analytical to lead Supply Chain Program management efforts in our US Parts Business Operations. These programs are national in scope, facing our complete dealer network in alignment with our global inventory management strategy and structure.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced automotive OEM + dealer supply chain expert with experiences in the modern supply chain. Ultimately this position is tasked to collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to ensure the healthy movement and productivity parts supply end to end US Porsche parts business.

• This role requires an individual expert with a curious mind that is comfortable working with parts sales programs designed to drive sustainable parts sales and reduce risk at scale, leveraging the systems and data to make decisions, which maximize Porsche Center fill rate and reduce risk.
• PCNA is part of a larger global organization, which will require leading cross functional teams collaboratively, providing expertise locally and within a large international organization.
• Develop strategy and operational plan for dealer facing programs with customer focus, leading cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
• Identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain effective proactive communication among stakeholders.
• Key member of the parts team, who owns and drives programs which help dealers manage parts end to end procurement, inventory, and sales efficiently with a high level of customer focus.

Roles & responsibilities

Primary responsibilities:

• US Business Product Owner of national dealer program strategic approach and operational excellence for each program.
• End to end strategic program and business development - From opportunity identification, supplier selection, Porsche Center communication and support to program execution.
• Responsible to set and drive KPIs for dealer inventory productivity, ensuring dealer multimillion dollar inventory practices are aligned with a high level of off the shelf fill supporting dealer own workshop customer priority, leading to pull through of inventory sales. Inventory off the shelf fill should also support additional secondary opportunities for dealers to sell parts to non-own workshop channels.
• Leading cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful operation of current and future programs.  
• Act as high-level SME, proactively Identifying risks, problem triage and resolution, and maintaining effective communication among stakeholders in national dealer network, US HQ and Field organization, and AG HQ.
• Strategic ownership of national dealer facing inventory and support needs in the market which ensures dealer inventory investment is appropriate levels to support their own workshop for customer repair efficiency/speed and is proactively aligned with US National Inventory planning.
• Operate in an environment with often ambiguous dealer facing challenges, proactively working internally with supply chain stakeholders spanning Parts Business, Logistics, Finance, Dealer Network Development, and AG stakeholders to ID root cause for business development.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project and program plans, including goals, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Evaluate program performance against set KPIs, communicating regularly and implementing improvements as needed.
• Develop and implement dealer program strategies to streamline processes, maximize efficiency and drive sustainable retail parts sales growth.
• Own strategic dealer facing parts supply chain support modernization initiatives focused on automation, digitalization, inventory productivity, and customer focused fulfillment performance.
• Business Product Owner of Automatic Stock Replenishment (ASR) and alignment with Global Parts Planning (GPP) – drive high level of off the shelf fill and inventory health KPIs at Porsche Centers
• Business Product Owner of local SAAS dealer chat support platform operation and development. Program should ensure dealer facing support team has an efficient process to quickly support dealers and customers, removing manual work, ensuring frictionless parts ordering for supply constrained parts in alignment with materials management and global inventory management teams.
• Business Product Owner of Dealer to Dealer (D2D) program to automate order flow between dealers for parts which are not in stock at PCNA.

• Parts Program specific KPI performance reporting on a regular cadence
• Synthesize and simplify complex data from multiple sources to make consumable with recommendations to business leadership decision making and business steering.
• Development of data visualization tools, dashboards, business cases and executive summaries
• Own and manage program related budgets and business cases to support proactive operation.
• Implementing development activities to meet corporate objectives, ensuring commercial and operational guidelines are always adhered to.
• Ensure proper retention of electronic documents, business confidential information, and actively demonstrates an understanding of the need to safeguard competitive information in both electronic and non-electronic formats.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and assess how to manage the communication flow accordingly.
• Participate and or lead dealer facing program relevant meetings.
• Analyze full dealer network to ensure maximization of PCNA program investment and effective dealer support against KPIs (example: Appropriate inventory stock levels at Porsche Centers to maintain a high rate of off the shelf fill supporting Porsche customers. Ensure that investment of time and capital results in profitable enterprise solutions which resolve customer priority root causes at enterprise level.
• Identify and act on sales risk or inefficiency to improve performance.
• Manage budget specific to role and projects.
  • Recommending areas of future investment, developing business case and justification
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure programs are planned and process is aligned to drive high level of proactive service to dealer partners and retail customers as priority.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Management or equivalent professional experience Preferred

Experience:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience at an OEM in a dealer facing role
  • Demonstrated dealer facing customer focus.
• Strong understanding of Supply Chain and Dealer Inventory Management systems
• SAP Business systems expertise
• Supply chain or inventory analysis and optimization, or similar experience
• Expert knowledge of inventory specific impact on warehousing and logistics processes

The salary range for this role is $89,000-$124,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.

Physical requirements

• This job operates in various environments (e.g. office, warehouse, etc.). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, move, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
