LEAD HVAC INSTALLER

Four 10-hour days, Mondays off, and a company that runs a tight schedule so you're not stuck waiting on other trades. Our client is a growing residential HVAC company that installs everything to manufacturer spec, pays well for quality work, and wants a lead who'll help build the business. For the right person, there's real room to grow into leadership and even a long-term ownership conversation.

THE BASICS
Location: Canaan, NH
Pay: $45–$55/hr depending on experience, plus a $10/hr weekly team quality bonus. That's the floor, not the ceiling, and pay is significantly higher for a licensed or license-eligible master electrician.

Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (10-hour days, 30-minute paid lunch), with overtime paid when jobs run late

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead residential retrofit installs, including heat pumps, mini-splits, central AC, furnaces, boilers and hydronic systems, gas piping, and water heaters
• Run a two-person install crew, including finishing the training of a junior installer
• Cross-train across every crew role. There's always work to be done, and everyone pitches in.
• Complete jobs that typically run one to four days, depending on size and complexity
• Install every system to manufacturer recommendations, with no shortcuts
• Use your knowledge of building construction to find the smartest routes through walls, voids, and dead spaces
• Take on occasional light commercial work and new construction during the winter months
• Suggest better ways of doing things, and follow established standards once they're set
• Help with service and repair on equipment the team has installed, as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• EPA 608 certification, or willingness to earn it (the company pays for the 2-day class)
• Valid, clean driver's license
• Ability to pass a DOT health screening (required to drive the larger trucks and trailers; no CDL needed)
• Clean background check
• Comfortable with physical, construction-type work
• Coachable and detail-oriented, and open to learning a strict, by-the-book installation process

Nice to Have (not required):

• Master electrician license, or eligibility to earn one (high priority, with pay well above the posted range)
• Building construction background, such as framing or carpentry. This is valuable even without direct HVAC experience.
• Residential HVAC installation or crew lead experience
• Interest in earning a plumbing license, with mentorship from a licensed plumber on staff
• Light commercial installation experience
