- Operate a pavement-marking truck and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Apply pavement markings according to project plans, specifications, and DOT requirements.
- Set up, operate, monitor, and make adjustments to pavement-marking equipment during application.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment and application issues in the field.
- Load and handle pavement-marking materials and supplies.
- Assist with equipment setup, cleanup, and preparation between projects.
- Maintain accurate material and project records as required.
- Follow all company, DOT, and jobsite safety procedures.
- Work closely with crew members, supervisors, and other operators to complete projects safely and on schedule.
- Assist with other pavement-marking and construction duties as needed.
- Previous experience operating construction, pavement-marking, striping, or similar heavy equipment preferred.
- Experience with durable pavement-marking systems is highly preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
- CDL preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment in the field.
- Ability to understand and follow project plans, specifications, and instructions.
- Must be dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and roadway conditions.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, bending, standing, and working around construction equipment.
