JOB SUMMARY:

The RN Supervisor is a leadership role responsible for the oversight and coordination of nursing care within the hospital setting, ensuring safe, high-quality and patient-centered care is delivered across departments. This role includes the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care plans and outcomes, while maintaining compliance with all standards of nursing practice as legislated by the State of Oregon. The RN Supervisor provides clinical guidance and operational support to nursing staff, including RNs, CNAs, PCTs, ED Technicians, and other patient care personnel. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical expertise in medical-surgical care and is capable of supporting both emergency and obstetric units. This individual must demonstrate sound clinical judgment, strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a collaborative, team-based environment. QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Minimum of five (5) years of acute care nursing experience required Medical-Surgical nursing experience required Emergency Room (ER) and/or Obstetrics (OB) experience required, or the ability to orient and complete competency requirements within six (6) months of hire Prior charge nurse or supervisory experience strongly preferred Current BLS/CPR certification required ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred Demonstrated proficiency in nursing practice in accordance with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making skills Excellent communication, team leadership and interpersonal skills Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and other computer systems used in clinical settings Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care across diverse populations Ability to meet the physical and functional requirements outlined in the job description High School Diploma or equivalent required Must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screen and reference checks
