Agricultural Equipment Operator

Job Overview This position is for operating a variety of advanced GPS‑equipped potato farming equipment on multiple farm locations. The role focuses on planting, cultivating, harvesting, and all associated equipment maintenance tasks. Primary Duties (performed The Majority Of Workdays) Operate and drive tractors, planters, bottom switch plows, Grimme planters, windrowers, line equipment with holding tanks, dry brushers, grading tables, harvesters, pumps, tilling equipment, case‑loaders, pivots, pilers, and other mechanized, electrically powered or motor‑driven equipment. Drive tractors and towed machines to plant, fertilize, dust, and perform other crop operations. Prepare harvesting machinery by adjusting speeds of cutters, blowers, conveyors, and adjusting cutting heads or digging blades according to crop conditions and terrain. Operate irrigation activities, including setting up, moving, and maintaining irrigation pipes and equipment. Adjust and lubricate machines and equipment to ensure efficient operation. Prepare farmland for planting by removing trash, trees, stumps, rocks, and other debris that interfere with crop operations. Dig ditches for pipe installation and implement erosion control measures. Level land and reposition soil using tractors, dozers, front‑end loaders, bobcats, and other land‑clearing equipment. Operate rakes for root and limb removal and manage debris piles for possible burning. Operate company vehicles (capacity less than 13 tons) to transport workers between employer‑provided housing and work sites, including on/off‑farm travel. Qualifications and Requirements Minimum of 2 months verifiable prior experience operating and maintaining GPS‑equipped potato farming equipment. Must provide verifiable job references or comparable third‑party documentation from recent employers. Saturday work required. Must be able to lift or carry 60 lbs. Employer‑paid post‑hire drug testing is required upon reasonable suspicion of use or after an incident at work. Will work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift hours. Must possess a clean driving record and be able to obtain an insurable driver’s license; company vehicles may be driven under these conditions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
