Job Description

Core Responsibilities
- Manage project construction QA programs.
- Oversee QA testing and inspection. Coordinate and schedule resources to provide appropriate QA inspection and testing for all construction efforts on a daily and weekly basis.
- Provide training for to ensure appropriate training quality procedures are in place, through pre-activity meetings and daily on-site reviews.
- Ensure all quality inspector staff has appropriate training and certification for the types of construction activities they will be overseeing.
- Verify that all sampling and testing personnel have the appropriate training and certification for the types of materials they will be testing.
- Maintain a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) log.
- Maintain utility relocations inspection information.
- Develop and maintain a list of lab equipment available, latest calibration data, and date of inspection.
- Schedule Hold Points as audits of on-going construction work for the duration of the project.
- Coordinate with owner quality verification testing, inspection, and Independent Assurance (IA) requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field plus 6 years of relevant construction inspection experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Associates Degree in a related field plus 6 years of relevant construction inspection experience, would be considered
- Experience on heavy civil construction projects
- Understanding of technical requirements for construction systems, materials and equipment (electrical, mechanical, architectural/structural)
- Strong structural concrete experience in heavy civil construction projects
- Experience representing contractor and owners interests as site or trades representative
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with project management level personnel
- Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexible hours required for construction observations and oversight
- Must be capable of climbing ladders/scaffolding and working at elevated locations, including building roofs, and bridges

- Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000 annual salary
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state's law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
