Position Overview

As a Pediatric Physical Therapist at Suncrest Physical Therapy, you will play a vital role in enhancing the physical health and overall well-being of children from infancy through adolescence. Your primary focus will be to assess, develop, and implement tailored therapy plans designed specifically for children facing various physical challenges, which may include musculoskeletal, neurological, or developmental disorders. Your expertise will allow you to facilitate improvements in mobility, strength, and functional independence, significantly impacting the lives of your young patients.

About the Organization

Suncrest Physical Therapy is a leading outpatient clinic located in Paradise Valley, Nevada, dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Our multidisciplinary team includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, all working collaboratively to deliver individualized treatment plans in a warm, supportive environment. We believe in nurturing not just the physical capabilities of children but also fostering their confidence and emotional growth. By joining us, you will have the opportunity to be part of a community that genuinely cares for its patients and their families.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite position within our outpatient office, which fosters a collaborative and dynamic atmosphere. Our facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic tools and technologies designed specifically for pediatric care, including therapeutic play equipment, sensory integration resources, and spacious treatment areas that enable engaging therapy sessions. The operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering you a structured schedule that promotes a balanced work-life environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients using age-appropriate evaluations and observational techniques to determine their unique physical therapy needs.

  • Create and implement individualized therapy plans focusing on improving motor skills, balance, strength, coordination, and flexibility through evidence-based practices.

  • Monitor and document progress meticulously, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Educate and engage families and caregivers in home exercise programs and therapeutic techniques that extend beyond the clinical environment, empowering them to support their child's recovery.

  • Actively collaborate with other healthcare professionals including pediatricians, occupational therapists, and special education teams to provide comprehensive care.

  • Stay informed and implement the latest advances in pediatric physical therapy methodologies, enhancing the quality of care delivered.

  • Participate in regular team meetings and case discussions to promote knowledge sharing within the multidisciplinary team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary patients will be children across a broad spectrum of needs, from infants with early developmental delays to adolescents recovering from sports injuries or surgeries. This role emphasizes the importance of understanding child growth and development to tailor interventions that foster improvement in physical functioning as well as promote psychosocial well-being. By delivering targeted therapies, you contribute to the child's ability to reach developmental milestones and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

  • Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Nevada is mandatory.

  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is essential to ensure patient safety and readiness in emergencies.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to effectively convey therapy processes to families.

  • Strong collaborative skills to work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a cohesive work environment.

Preferred Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric physical therapy is preferred, providing hands-on experience in the evaluation and treatment of pediatric patients.

  • Experience working in an outpatient clinic setting is beneficial, focusing on a fast-paced and dynamic therapeutic environment.

  • Familiarity with pediatric therapy tools and techniques, including adaptive equipment and therapy modalities.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges between $90,000 to $100,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive salary structure, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance to support your well-being.

  • Generous paid time off and holiday leave to promote work-life balance.

  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching to invest in your future.
