Job Title

Job Overview: Pay Range: $17.99hr - $21.99hr

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for access to academic medical centers and health sciences campus.
  • Answers, screens, and directs incoming and outgoing telephone calls, electronic messages, and web-based communications using a call management system.
  • Responds to basic inquiries and routes complex inquiries to appropriate medical personnel.
  • Schedules and confirms initial and follow-up medical appointments, registers patients, and verifies insurance coverage to determine estimated financial responsibility.
  • Ensures accurate data entry, maintains data integrity, and performs reconciliations as needed.

Requirement/Must Have

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum two years of hands-on experience in a call center, customer service, or healthcare environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience

  • Minimum two years of experience in a call center, customer service, or healthcare-related environment.

Should Have

  • Vocational certification in healthcare fields such as appointment scheduling, registration, insurance verification, or medical assisting preferred.
  • Associate or bachelors degree in healthcare, business, or operations field preferred.
