About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Exceptional communication Time management Medication safety (minimum of 98% of all medications safely scanned and administered) Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a medical-surgical unit. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The unit typically has 39 beds and 60 staff members. Patient ratios are 1:5 for day shift and 1:6 for night shift. The equipment used includes Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Arjo lifts, Novastat, and computers in every room. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates without the required skills will not be considered. Preferred candidates will have chemotherapy certification and flexibility to work days or nights. A friendly and team-oriented personality is important for making great personal connections. Two weekends a month are required, with on-call duties only if volume is low.
