Quality Specialist

Greene Tweed

Job Summary The Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring that Greene, Tweed products meet the standards defined by customers, industry, and third‑party entities. This includes supporting Quality Processes and Systems, analyzing product limitations, generating work instructions and procedures, and maintaining ISO & SPC programs. Responsibilities Support or lead all quality activities associated with manufacturing and inspection processes, procedures, and requirements. Identify training gaps within GTC manufacturing or quality processes and provide training when requested. Support and, with assistance from the QA Team Lead, the Internal Audit Program: ensuring effective internal audits, participating and leading audits, and following up on post‑audit activities such as reports and Corrective Action Requests. Support or lead Lean and Six Sigma project activities: participate in teams, collect and analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure quality and process documentation is updated. Document, maintain, and use electronic data systems such as E‑IPC, Infinity QS, SAP queries, and FAIR quality documentation to ensure accurate information transfer and retrieval. Interpret customer and GTC drawings, specifications, and identify key characteristics for inspection; work with Process Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to capture information efficiently. Track in‑process product problems, production performance issues, scrap, and other metrics in manufacturing areas for trend analysis and continuous improvement support. Serve as a subject‑matter resource and plant representative on teams impacting process or product quality. Participate in customer delegation programs and obtain approval where needed; attend customer audits and visits upon request. Calibrate tools and facilitate calibration services as required. Required Minimum Qualifications Education : High School Diploma; a degree is preferred. Experience and Skills : Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably with quality auditing. Knowledge of inspection procedures, techniques, specifications and drawings is desired. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally. Understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools and manufacturing fundamentals is a plus. Experience with ISO/AS Quality Management Systems, GD&T, CMI, and/or ASQ is advantageous. May require CMM programming and/or NDT capabilities. U.S. Person Status : This position requires U.S. Person status as defined by law for authorized access to ITAR‑controlled data.
