Surgical Tech

JOB SUMMARY Provide direct patient care and assist surgeons during operative procedures as a Surgical Technologist. Key Responsibilities Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures. Arrange and inventory surgical instruments and equipment. Assist surgeons by handing them instruments, supplies, and medications. Maintain sterile technique throughout the operative procedure. Account for all supplies and instruments used during surgery. Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment after procedures. Assist with patient positioning and preparation. Document care provided. Schedule / Shift M-F Two 6:45a-7:15p shifts Two 10:45a-7:15p shifts 13-week assignment Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty. Recent experience in ortho, total joints, spine, and craniotomy. Certifications AHA BLS Experience Surgical Technologist experience with a focus on orthopedic, neurosurgery, and urology. Skills Proficient in sterile technique. Familiarity with surgical instrumentation and equipment. Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team. Strong attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork skills. EMR / Systems Cerner Patient Population Adult surgical patients. Unit / Specialty Main Surgical Unit for Northside Atlanta Campus. Open 24/7. Case volume varies between 28-55 cases per day. Service lines include Ortho, Neuro, Urology, General, and Thoracic. Floating / On-Call Ability to work within a fast-paced surgical environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
