Companion Caregiver – Every Other Weekend | Covington, GA

The Perfect You Homecare & Recovery is seeking a dependable and compassionate Companion Caregiver for an immediate-start case with an 86-year-old client in Covington, GA .

This is a great opportunity for a caregiver looking for a consistent every-other-weekend schedule , with potential opportunities to pick up additional PRN hours during the week.

Position Details

• Position: Companion Caregiver
• Location: Covington, GA
• Schedule: Every other weekend
• Shifts: Saturday & Sunday
• Hours: Approximately 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (flexible)
• Total Hours: 8 hours every other weekend
• Pay: $17.00/hour
• Start: Immediate
• Additional Hours: PRN hours may be available during the week

Responsibilities

The caregiver will provide friendly, reliable support and companionship while helping the client maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.

Duties include:

• Providing medication reminders
• Preparing light meals
• Performing light housekeeping
• Providing companionship and supportive assistance
• Helping maintain a clean and comfortable environment
• Being attentive to the client's needs and well-being
  

Client & Home Environment

• Client is an 86-year-old adult
• A dog is present in the home
• Caregiver must be comfortable working around dogs
  

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (state-approved)
• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
• Negative TB test (or willingness to complete testing)
• Empathy and patience with elderly clients
• Good communication and time-management skills
• Dependable transportation
• Clean criminal background

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• Able to stand, bend, and move for extended periods
• Comfortable with occasional long-distance driving
