Preconstruction Manager

A growing real estate development and construction organization with a strong presence across the Southeastern United States is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to support and lead all early phase project efforts for upcoming multifamily developments in the Charleston market. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who excels at collaboration strategic thinking and detailed project planning.

 

What you will do:

 

• Lead the full preconstruction process from concept through final pricing
• Partner with development design and construction teams to align scope budget and schedule
• Review drawings specifications and design materials to identify risks gaps and value opportunities
• Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates for multifamily projects
• Participate in design meetings and provide cost and feasibility guidance
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Lead constructability reviews and offer recommendations that support efficiency and quality
• Create preliminary schedules that support project goals
• Support smooth handoff of projects into the construction phase

What you need:

• Proven experience in preconstruction or estimating for multifamily or commercial projects
• 5+ years of Preconstruction experience
• BS in Construction Management or related field
• Strong understanding of construction planning methods and sequencing
• Clear and effective communication skills with internal and external partners
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Proficiency with estimating and project management software
