Security OfficerPosition at the D Las VegasResponsible for providing outstanding, friendly and informative guest service while maintaining safety throughout the property as directed. Works to ensure maximum Guest safety at all times while periodically patrolling assigned areas.Essential Job Functions:Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting Company service standards at all timesContributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as neededAdhere to all company service and operating standardsAnswers Guest questions in a manner that reflects an understanding of the department and property in generalProtect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issuesObserve and report unusual or suspicious behaviorEscalate emergency situations to Supervisor, assistant director and Director as neededQualifications:Ability to read and speak English and communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal formUnderstand and comply with all company, departmental and Gaming Control Board rules and regulations, policies and proceduresAbility to multitaskMust be able to work any day of the week and any shift to include weekends and holidaysMust be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with Team Members and GuestsMust be at least 21 years of ageMust be able to obtain required work cardsWill be required to complete assigned training academyEducation and/or Experience:High School diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredPhysical, Mental and Work Environment:Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking and standing for extended periods of timeWork is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy and may contain second hand smokeAbility to stand and walk for long periods of timeRespond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policyAbility to lift 50 poundsConstant contact with fellow Team Members and GuestsAble to see color.
