Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join a growing team in Oakland, CA . This onsite role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings hands-on experience across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll . This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial operations and supporting overall business performance. Key Responsibilities Process full-cycle Accounts Payable , including invoice coding, vendor payments, and discrepancy resolution Manage Accounts Receivable functions, including billing, cash applications, and collections follow-up Prepare and process payroll while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger activities on a regular basis Maintain accurate financial records and assist with month-end close activities Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes Qualifications 3+ years of accounting experience with a focus on AP, AR, and payroll functions Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and reconciliations High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work onsite in Oakland, CA and contribute in a team-oriented environment This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand their skill set across multiple functions while working in a collaborative and stable environment.
