Senior Ultrasound Technologist at St Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, CA. This position is Per Diem and will work 10-hour Variable Shifts.

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor Sonography and the Manager Diagnostic Imaging, the Senior Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of ultrasound (US) imaging examinations using the proper ultrasound practices. Performs various ultrasound procedures according to accepted department protocols and hospital policies. Performs a variety of ultrasound procedures for patients of any age group for diagnostic purposes according to department, hospital, and regulatory agency standards. Assist Radiologist and referring physicians as needed to perform ultrasound procedures. In addition, the Senior Ultrasound Technologist will work closely with the radiologists, other modalities, inpatient and outpatient ultrasound departments, and will serve as a liaison to scheduling and referring physician offices.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Maintain required continuing education hours necessary to renew license/certification.
• Coursework/Training: Associate’s degree and/ or equivalent education / experience Ultrasound Technology.
• Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of Sonography experience.
• 1 year of Leadership experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
