Location: Washington, DC

Position Type: Proposal

Requirements:

• Develop and implement new software applications and enhancements to existing systems based on defined product backlog requirements.
• Perform full application lifecycle activities including design, coding, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
• Develop, execute, and validate test plans, leveraging automated testing tools when possible.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform defect resolution, and implement enhancement requests in alignment with stakeholder needs.
• Draft, update, and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and operational instructions.
• Participate in Agile Scrum activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and team collaboration sessions.
• Ensure developed solutions comply with organizational policies, security guidelines, and technical standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and team members to support delivery of mission-critical enterprise applications.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• Experience developing web-based applications using JavaScript and/or HTML.
• Experience in application development using modern frameworks and tools.
• Experience with ServiceNow development is highly desired (but not required).
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and sprint-based delivery.
• Experience with software testing practices including unit testing and automated testing tools.
• Ability to develop clean, modular, well-documented, and maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.

Education & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of professional application development experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline
• Equivalent combinations of education and directly relevant experience may be considered.
