Dietary Assistant/Aide Job Summary The Dietary Assistant when working the am position cleans the dietary area including the employee break room, storeroom, dietary office, locker room/bathroom, kitchen, elevator and surrounding hallways. The assistant pours beverages and sets up food trays according to diet lists; dismantles trays; washes all dishes and puts them away. The assistant sets trays for the next meal, cleans the work area and assists with serving food or helping the cook as needed. Closing Shift Position The Dietary Assistant when working the closing position pours beverages and sets up food trays according to diet lists; dismantles trays; washes all dishes and puts them away. The assistant sets trays for the next meal, cleans the work area and assists with serving food or helping the cook as needed. The assistant cleans/stocks the break room in the afternoon; fills requisitions on the weekends and does assigned weekly chores. Qualifications High School Graduate or Equivalent, able to speak, read, understand and write English.
