Emergency Medicine Physician

• Night Shift Focus: The schedule is strictly for night shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts).
• High-Acuity Setting: The ED is a Level II Trauma Center with 13 beds (serving an 81-bed hospital) and an annual volume of 28,000.
• Solo Coverage: You will be working single coverage overnight.
• Required Procedures: You must be proficient in standard ED procedures, including intubation, central line placement, joint reductions, sedation, laceration repair, and lumbar punctures.
• EMR System: The facility uses EPIC for all charting.
• Privileging: Full privileges are available, with an estimated credentialing time of 90 days.

• Provide independent, in-house ED coverage during the 12-hour night shift.
• Manage an average patient census of 2 patients per hour (approximately 24 patients per 12-hour shift).
• Perform all necessary standard ED procedures.
• Manage an average of 1.8 admissions while on shift.

• Education: MD or DO.
• Board Status: Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine is REQUIRED (FM or IM backgrounds will not be accepted).
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Licensure: An active Illinois State License is REQUIRED. We will not accept IMLC candidates.
• Certifications: ACLS, DEA, and CSR licenses are required.

• The target start date is January 5, 2026.
