React Native Lead / Architect

Pay Range: $65hr - $70hr

The React Native Lead / Architect will provide technical leadership for mobile engineering initiatives and drive the architecture and development of scalable mobile applications. The role focuses on building high-performance React Native applications, defining architecture strategies, integrating native modules, and ensuring strong security, performance, and DevOps practices for mobile platforms.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Strong hands-on experience building production-grade mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of the Expo ecosystem including EAS, OTA updates, build pipelines, and native configuration.
• Expertise in mobile architecture patterns such as Clean Architecture, MVVM, and modular architecture.
• Experience integrating native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) modules into React Native applications.
• Strong understanding of application lifecycle, memory management, threading, and performance optimization.
• Experience implementing push notifications, deep linking, analytics SDKs, and mobile security frameworks.
• Experience integrating APIs using REST or GraphQL and designing resilient mobile network interactions.

Experience:

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on mobile application development experience.
• 4+ years leading React Native applications in production environments.
• Experience delivering applications to Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Experience working with cloud-based backend platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and oversee daily mobile engineering operations.
• Define and drive the mobile architecture strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead the design and development of scalable mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
• Architect reusable component systems and scalable state management solutions.
• Design navigation, deep linking, and mobile routing strategies.
• Implement secure authentication mechanisms including OAuth, OIDC, biometrics, and secure token management.
• Integrate native modules and third-party SDKs including payment, analytics, and device security services.
• Optimize mobile performance including startup time, bundle size, rendering performance, and caching.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and support mobile application release management processes.
• Ensure compliance with mobile security, privacy regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with backend teams to define APIs and optimize mobile-backend communication.
• Promote automated testing and maintain code quality standards.
• Participate in architecture reviews and long-term platform roadmap planning.

Skills:

• React Native and TypeScript development.

• State management frameworks such as Redux, Zustand, and Context API.
• CI/CD pipeline implementation for mobile platforms.
• Mobile performance optimization and debugging.

Qualification And Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Should Have:

• Experience with mobile testing frameworks such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, and Detox.
• Experience with mobile DevOps tools including Fastlane and Expo EAS.
• Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and product teams.
