Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Maternity Nursing Care

Provide specialized obstetric, gynecologic, and maternity nursing care to patients in a hospital setting. Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of mothers, newborns, and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with obstetric teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and progress during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and interventions in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
• Assist with labor, delivery, C-section procedures, and newborn care.
• Educate patients and families on maternity and postpartum care, including newborn care and breastfeeding.
• Maintain accurate documentation of clinical assessments, procedures, and patient progress.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid and active Michigan RN license.
• Acquire at least 2 years of recent OB/GYN experience, including high proficiency in LDRP.
• Demonstrate strong skills in labor, triage, delivery, circulating duties, and postpartum care.
• Obtain current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Pass a dysrhythmia test prior to assignment.
• Be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or hold approved exemptions.
