Certified Nurse Midwife

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Certified Nurse Midwife in Poughkeepsie, New York . This position is on call / as needed and is in person / onsite.

Coverage Areas: Poughkeepsie, Rhinebeck, Mount Kisco

Position Type: Four-month contract, opportunity for extension
Schedule: Six to eight shifts of 24 hour on-call coverage per month
Pay: $56.50 to $58.50 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities of the Certified Nurse Midwife:

• Assesses, manages, and delivers low-to-moderate risk obstetrical patients in hospital.

• On-call responsibilities require stabilizing and monitoring labor, executing deliveries, managing emergencies, and quickly collaborating with attending OB/GYNs for high-risk complications.

• Monitor labor progress, interpret fetal heart tracings, manage pain options, and facilitate vaginal deliveries.

• Institute emergency measures for maternal or neonatal distress (including newborn resuscitation and managing postpartum hemorrhages) until specialized support arrives.

• Transition patients to recovery by managing immediate postpartum care, evaluating emotional status, and assisting with newborn exams.

• Complete other related duties and projects assigned

Qualifications of the Certified Nurse Midwife:

• Active and good standing RN in New York required

• Active Nurse Midwife certification required

• Minimum of 1 year of experience

• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-acuity labor and delivery environment

Pay Details: $56.50 to $58.50 per hour
