Facility: Renal Unit – 36 Beds
Shift: Nights | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Required

About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel RN to join our Renal Med/Surg Telemetry team in beautiful Tuscaloosa, AL .

As a member of our 36-bed Renal Unit, you’ll play a vital role in caring for patients with acute and chronic kidney disease , including those requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis . Our team works closely with nephrologists, hospitalists, and family practice providers to deliver outstanding, patient-centered care.

Position Highlights

• Unit Type: Med/Surg Telemetry – Renal Focus

• Patient Ratio: 1:6

• Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed

• Collaborative Environment: Strong support from interdisciplinary teams and leadership

Qualifications

Education – Required:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)

Certifications – Required:

• AHA or Red Cross BLS Certification

Licenses – Required:

• Active RN License – Alabama or Compact (No temporary licenses accepted)

• NURSYS verification required

Experience – Required:

• Minimum 2 years of experience (will consider 18 months with strong references)

• At least 1 year of experience in the specialty area (Renal, Med/Surg, or Telemetry)
