About Family Services of America Family Services of America (FSA) is a CARF-accredited behavioral health and child welfare organization in Fayetteville, NC, with 14+ years of trauma-informed, evidence-based care (TFTC, SPARCS, TF-CBT). FSA operates the Journey to Home Long-Term Foster Care (LTFC) Program, an ORR-funded program providing foster care placement and wraparound services for children in care. The Opportunity The Clinician conducts mental health assessments; provides individual and group counseling; screens for human trafficking; and provides crisis intervention for children in FSA’s services program. Child-facing services are provided on-site. This position requires prior credential approval. Please note: This is a grant-funded, term-limited position for up to three years, aligned to the ORR grant cycle. Continuation is contingent on grant funding. What You Will Own Conduct mental health assessments and formulate clinical impressions consistent with current standards of practice. Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities. Screen for human trafficking concerns and coordinate appropriate response and reporting. Provide crisis intervention and safety planning in coordination with case management and medical staff. Deliver child-facing services on-site in a private, confidential setting consistent with ORR, NCDHHS and HIPAA requirements. Maintain timely, confidential clinical documentation in the EHR and UC Portal. Required Qualifications Master’s or doctorate from an accredited program in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or another behavioral discipline where clinical experience is required. Licensed (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT) or license-eligible (Associate’s licensure) in North Carolina; non-licensed staff must work toward licensure and attain it within three (3) years of hire. Must be at least 21 years of age; must pass all ORR-required background investigations (FBI fingerprint, state repository, child abuse/neglect, and DOJ Sex Offender Registry checks) and show proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable respiratory diseases. Credential approval required before assuming the position. Preferred Qualifications ORR LTFC clinical experience (strongly preferred). Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Training in TF-CBT, SPARCS, or other trauma-focused, evidence-based modalities. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $61,200 – $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Benefits include group health, dental, and vision insurance; employer-paid basic life insurance (coverage begins after the eligibility period); paid time off and paid federal holidays; professional development; GSA-rate mileage reimbursement; and workers’ compensation per N.C.G.S. § 97-2.
