Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in circulating and monitoring cases within the cardiac catheterization lab, with a focus on structural heart cases.

Job Responsibilities

• Circulate and monitor cases within the Cath Lab.
• Administer procedural sedation and conduct sedation testing prior to patient arrival.
• Work collaboratively with Cath Lab Technologists who primarily handle the scrubbing role.
• Participate in STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) protocols as this is a STEMI receiving center.
• Assist with cases involving structural heart conditions such as Mitraclip, TAVR, and PFO/ASD closures.
• Utilize electronic medical record systems, including MacLab and Epic.

Shift Details

• Scheduled Hours: 4 ten-hour shifts per week.
• Shifts run Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• No self-scheduling; shifts are assigned by leadership.
• Participation in call rotation is required, including weeknight and weekend coverage.
• Expected call response time: 30 minutes.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active RN license in Washington or a compact license.
• One year of experience in a Cath Lab setting is required; travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in circulating and monitoring procedures is essential.
• Experience with structural heart cases and procedural sedation is necessary.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.

Unit Information

• The Cath Lab consists of two suites, averaging 8-10 cases per day.
• Team includes Cath Lab Technologists primarily responsible for scrubbing cases.
• Orientation will include one week of training, with three days on-unit and a weekend buddy call.
• There are currently no requirements to float outside of the Cath Lab unless otherwise arranged.
