Generator Technician

Job Description

Duties:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain generators, transfer switches, and related electrical systems.
• Maintain portable and stationary generators, ensuring readiness for emergency response.
• Install, modify, test, and repair electrical equipment, wiring, breakers, relays, and controls.
• Inspect and service mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel systems.
• Monitor fuel levels, refuel equipment, and maintain fuel records.
• Comply with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and environmental regulations while documenting work and maintaining a safe work area.

Requirements Conditions of Employment:

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• This position requires rotating shift work.
