Contract (13 Weeks) | Variable Day Shifts | Rotating | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently set up operative suites and verify all supplies are available through case cart review prior to procedures
• Scrub surgical cases across a wide variety of specialties in a high-volume operating room environment (averaging 40–60 cases per day across 21 ORs)
• Turn over rooms efficiently to support multiple procedures throughout the day
• Operate and assist with Da Vinci Robotic surgical systems as required
• Participate in on-call rotation, including 6–8 weeknight call shifts and 1–2 weekend call shifts during the contract period, with a 30-minute response time requiring readiness to be in the OR within that window
• May be required to float to satellite facilities as needed; willingness to assist with downtime tasks and support training of new hires is expected

Required Qualifications

• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Active CST certification required — NBSTSA or NCCT accepted
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program required
• Minimum 4 years of operating room experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Trauma Level II facility experience required
• Da Vinci Robotics experience required
• Must have personal reliable transportation — cannot rely on rideshare services due to on-call responsibilities
• During flu season, travelers who decline flu and/or COVID vaccination will be required to wear a mask at all times per facility policy; failure to comply may result in corrective action

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency across multiple surgical specialties including General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, and GI
• Extensive experience in a large-volume hospital setting, preferably a Trauma Level II facility
• Flexible, adaptable, and demonstrates strong work ethic with the ability to manage change effectively
• Collaborative and personable with a willingness to support team operations and new hire orientation
