Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, transmission flushes, and inspect vehicles for mechanical deficiencies. Conduct light repairs and, based on certification levels, perform various maintenance functions including OBD‑II diagnostics, brake component work, tire service, tune‑ups, suspension repairs, and electrical system troubleshooting. Maintain and repair equipment such as cable trailers and laptop docking stations. Keep the shop area clean, tidy, and compliant with safety standards. Dispose of fluids safely and in accordance with regulations. Create and maintain accurate vehicle history and maintenance records. Perform up‑fit installations on new vehicles as required. Handle more complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, and moderate fabrication, including welding. Coordinate with vendors for parts, repairs, and to ensure prompt service. Provide roadside assistance when necessary. Engage in equipment design and fabrication tasks for custom equipment needs. Maintain availability of specialized trucks by troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems, generators, electrical systems, hybrids, and on‑board computer systems. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of vehicle service and repair experience. Preferred: Additional years of experience or a higher level degree/certification in a related discipline. Minimum of 4 ASE certifications (preferred). Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions. Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced environment and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds. Customer service experience preferred (≥1 year). Compensation & Benefits Hourly base pay: $24.23 – $36.35 (varies by location and qualifications). Additional compensation may include commission and/or incentive programs. New hire bonus of $2,500, paid 50% after 30 days and the remaining 50% after 180 days. Paid Time Off: Minimum 6.67 hours per month plus seven paid holidays.
