Job Description

Patient Registration & Intake - Interviews patients to obtain demographic and insurance information, initiates new health records or coordinates reactivation of existing records, assists patients with completing RPMS registration forms areas.

Eligibility Determination & Compliance - Determines patient eligibility per IHS guidelines, verifies Certificate of Indian Blood or tribal documentation, Identifies patients requiring pre-certification or prior authorization.

Insurance Verification & Alternate Resources Management - Verifies Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance coverage, maintains and updates alternate resource information in RPMS, identifies coverage limitations and benefit requirements.

Billing Support & Authorization Processing - Obtains signature for alternate resources and Contract Health Services, prepares and processes assignment of benefits forms, secures prior approvals and pre-certifications.

Data Management, Reporting & Coordination - Maintains, verifies and corrects RPMS data for accuracy, coordinates with medical records and nursing staff and completes daily/monthly inpatient census (202 report).
