Role Overview

Picture your day in the toolroom: you review prints, map the sequence of cuts, and move from setup to final inspection with care. You’ll fabricate precision tools, dies, fixtures, and jigs by executing the operations you’ve planned on both manual and CNC equipment—lathes, mills, and grinders—holding tight tolerances from first pass to finish.

What You’ll Do

• Produce tooling components by milling, turning, and grinding to tight tolerances on CNC and manual machines.
• Maintain and service production tooling to keep operations running smoothly.
• Build new cutting and forming tools from concept through completion.
• Assemble components for multi-slide and four-slide production systems.

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Solid understanding of tool design, shop math, blueprint reading, machining, and assembly practices.
• Hands-on tooling experience within the metal stamping and forming industry.

Physical Realities of the Role

• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment.
• Frequent standing, lifting, and walking.
• Ability to wear PPE.

Experience & Education

• 3–8 years of recent experience as a Toolmaker.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a toolmaking apprenticeship or trade school apprenticeship is a plus.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
