Server/Waitstaff

Queen Park Social is a premier entertainment venue located in Lower South End. We offer bowling, arcade games, and a lounge with VIP tables, a DJ, and state of the art lighting and sound systems. We strive to be a one stop destination to eat, drink, and play. This is a very event focused venue so any prior event experience will greatly help you learn things here at QPS. We need servers who are able to handle volume and are comfortable heading events and being the first point of contact for our guests, whether it be a 5 person table or a 250 person gathering. We are currently looking to add strong, self-sufficient servers to our growing team as we move into our busier event season. Queen Park Social is a great place to build skills in all aspects of the service industry so for those who are serious about advancing their careers, this is the place to do it. Responsibilities Familiarizing yourself with our changing food and beverage menus. Seating guests and taking food and drink orders. A good understanding of different drink/cocktails for recommendations is appreciated. Delivering food and drinks to guests, servers are primarily responsible for running food and will be expected to help bartenders if needed. (Bartenders will also be expected to help servers when able.) Providing guests with top-notch customer service. The better you are at talking the better you will be at serving, anyone can learn a menu but not everyone can make an experience memorable. Completing side-work assigned by management. Serving is your primary job but we expect everyone to work together to make sure the building looks and runs perfect. Ideal Candidate Has the ability to listen and communicate effectively. We will answer any question you have to best of our ability but we can't help if we don't know. No question is a dumb question. Is punctual and reliable. If you can show up on time you will make more money than everyone who is late. Management will also think you're pretty cool. Is able to multitask efficiently. There are a lot of moving parts to this business with us having a kitchen, a bar, a bowling lounge, and an arcade. There may be times where you will be expected to assist or run an event or events while also managing the floor for regular customers. These times are few and we do our best to avoid overworking anyone but we cannot account for everything. Has strong organizational skills. We have a large building and we strive to keep everything as organized as possible so as to make things easier on our staff and to ensure our customers get the best service in neat and timely fashion. 2 years of serving experience is preferred. Any prior event serving/management experience will be very helpful. We are open to inexperienced applicants with a willingness to learn and grow within the company.
