Cardiovascular Ultrasound Tech III (ECHO)- IP, Full Time, MMC

Responsibilities Performs comprehensive ultrasound exams following established protocols to verify, plan, set up, perform, and report appropriate examinations. Verifies identity, informs and observes patient during procedure to ensure patient education, cooperation, and safety. Assists in continuing quality assurance and performance improvement. Completes clerical tasks associated with ultrasound tests, records all testing information accurately, completely, and in a timely manner, and ensures that critical results are reported promptly. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Communicates with physicians, patients, and other center personnel in a pleasant and informative manner and provides recommendations to supervisor on related duties, policies, and procedures. Enhances teamwork by showing motivation, enthusiasm, acceptance of responsibility, and personal accountability; engages in problem solving, seeks assistance when appropriate, and mentors others. Maintains a clean and orderly work area, cleans patient areas after each use, assists in maintaining a clean environment in the lab, and ensures equipment is cleaned according to infection control policies. Identifies learning needs, attends in‑services, lab and departmental meetings, increases proficiency, and suggests new, efficient, or economical techniques, procedures, and processes. Qualifications Minimum Education: High School Graduate or equivalent Graduate of an accredited CVT school with focus on echocardiography (CAAHEP accredited preferred). Position Qualifications Required: Registry through CCI or ARDMS Training/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Echo Sonographer III – Registered Sonographer Excellent interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written communication, and basic computer proficiency.
