Job Summary:
The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a specialized setting that bridges the gap between intensive care and traditional medical-surgical units. This role involves supervising and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes while maintaining safety standards and delivering compassionate care.

Job Details:

• Location: Bowling Green, KY
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift, a minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience, and current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Kentucky.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting.
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans. Participates in patient rehabilitation programs and actively engages in patient education and discharge planning. Provides supervision to ancillary staff, delegates duties appropriately, and ensures safety protocols are followed. Maintains accurate documentation and communicates effectively with the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care. Assumes charge responsibilities following orientation and seeks ongoing professional development.
