Senior Director Treasury Management Product

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Senior Director Treasury Management Product to join our team! This position is a senior leadership role responsible for executing the Treasury Management product strategy and delivering market-leading solutions that drive client acquisition, retention, revenue growth, and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Managing Director, Treasury Management Products & Commercial Deposit Strategy, this leader translates strategic priorities into actionable product roadmaps, oversees product development and commercialization efforts, and partners across Sales, Treasury Management, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Marketing to deliver exceptional client experiences. The role is accountable for managing a portfolio of treasury management products and services, ensuring products remain competitive, scalable, compliant, and aligned with the bank's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong treasury management expertise, product management leadership, commercial banking knowledge, and a proven ability to execute large-scale initiatives.As part of this role, you will:Strategy Execution & Product LeadershipExecute the Treasury Management product strategy established by the Managing Director and executive leadership team.Translate strategic objectives into annual product plans, roadmaps, business cases, and measurable outcomes.Lead the development, enhancement, and lifecycle management of treasury management products and services.Prioritize initiatives based on client needs, market opportunities, revenue generation, and operational efficiencies.Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, competitor offerings, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform product decisions.Drive innovation initiatives that strengthen the bank's treasury management value proposition.Product Development & DeliveryOversee end-to-end product execution from concept through launch and post implementation optimization.Partner with Technology and Operations teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of product enhancements and new capabilities.Manage product backlogs, roadmaps, development priorities, and release schedules.Ensure products are scalable, commercially viable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategic product initiatives and transformation programs.Commercialization & GrowthPartner with Treasury Management Sales, Commercial Banking, and Relationship Management teams to drive product adoption and revenue growth.Develop pricing, positioning, packaging, and go-to-market strategies for treasury management products.Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through new solutions and expanded product utilization.Support sales enablement efforts, including product training, client presentations, and strategic prospect engagements.Monitor product profitability and business performance metrics.Financial & Performance ManagementMaintain responsibility for product performance, including revenue growth, fee income, client adoption, utilization, and profitability.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics.Develop and manage product business cases and investment analyses.Report product performance, strategic initiative progress, and portfolio health to executive leadership.Risk, Governance & ComplianceEnsure products comply with applicable regulatory requirements, risk standards, and internal policies.Partner with Compliance, Legal, Risk Management, and Audit teams on governance activities.Identify and mitigate product, operational, technology, and vendor risks.Lead product governance reviews, approvals, and periodic assessments.People LeadershipLead, develop, and mentor a team of product managers and product specialists.Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Establish clear objectives, development plans, and performance expectations for team members.Build organizational product management capabilities and best practices.To be successful in this position, we require the following:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field.10+ years of banking, treasury management, payments, or product management experience.5+ years of leadership experience managing product teams and strategic initiatives.The following would be a plus:MBA or advanced business degree.Certified Treasury Professional (CTP).Experience with commercial banking clients ranging from middle market through large corporate segments.Experience with agile product management methodologies.Knowledge of treasury APIs, embedded finance, open banking, and digital payment ecosystems.Deep knowledge of treasury management products and servicesDemonstrated success executing product strategies and delivering measurable business results.Strong financial acumen and experience managing product P&Ls, pricing strategies, and business cases.Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.First Merchants offers the following:Base Pay PLUS BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance401kHealth Savings and Flexible Spending AccountsVacation/Sick TimePaid HolidaysPaid Parental LeaveTuition ReimbursementAdditional BenefitsA little about us:First Merchants is guided by a genuine philosophy of being a meaningful place to work and having a prosperous impact across all walks of life throughout the communities we serve, including consumers, businesses and other organizations.
