This position requires 5 days a week onsiteRelocation is not offeredLocation: Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, and Washington, DCOverall PurposeThis leader will own and optimize procurement strategies by managing, negotiating, monitoring, and sourcing vendor and sub-contractor contracts to ensure cost-effective and efficient supply chain operations. In this role, you will own the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle, manage Business Unit relationships, support new product launches, and work with Tier-1 and Tier-2 ODMs/ OEMs. As a Principal Leader you will sit at the intersection of product, planning, and marketing to ensure our hardware portfolio is innovative, scalable, and highly competitive in the global market. Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesTypical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:Contract Negotiation and ManagementOwn the negotiation and lifecycle management of agreements for an assigned portfolio of strategic Mobility suppliers, including Master Purchase Agreements (MPAs), promotional agreements, amendments, and Letters of Intent (LOIs).Lead complex commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, product commitments, warranties, credits, delivery obligations, risk protections, and other key business terms.Partner across Legal, Risk, Finance, Product, Marketing, Planning, and Supply Chain to coordinate approvals, resolve issues, and drive agreements through execution in support of product launches and business priorities.Sourcing Strategy DevelopmentDevelop and execute sourcing and category strategies for assigned Mobility suppliers and device programs, balancing total cost, product roadmap requirements, supply continuity, speed to market, and long-term commercial value.Use market intelligence, cost analysis, supplier capabilities, and emerging technology trends to inform negotiation strategies and identify opportunities to strengthen AT&T’s competitive position.Lead RFPs/RFQs and evaluate new suppliers, technologies, and commercial models where they can improve cost, resilience, innovation, or business outcomes.Vendor and Sub-contractor ManagementServe as the strategic commercial lead for assigned Tier-1 and Tier-2 OEM/ODM relationships, building strong partnerships while maintaining accountability for contractual and business commitments.Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, launch readiness, contract compliance, and commercial commitments; lead resolution of material issues and escalations.Manage commercial matters including promotional funding and credits, licensing or other contractual issues, invoicing, and receivables in partnership with internal stakeholders.Risk Management and ComplianceAnticipate and assess supply, cost, technology, geopolitical, and commercial risks that could affect device availability, product launches, or financial performance.Develop and execute mitigation strategies, including alternate sourcing, contractual protections, allocation and capacity planning, and other actions that strengthen supply continuity.Ensure sourcing and contracting activities follow applicable corporate policies, approval requirements, and regulatory obligations, partnering with Legal, Risk, Security, and other stakeholders as appropriate.Performance Monitoring and Process ImprovementEstablish and monitor supplier, sourcing, and commercial performance metrics; translate insights into clear recommendations and actions for senior leadership.Prepare executive-level analyses and updates on negotiations, supplier performance, market dynamics, risks, and financial impacts to support strategic decision-making.Identify and lead improvements that simplify sourcing and contracting processes, strengthen governance, improve cycle time, and increase the effectiveness of Mobility sourcing operations.Job ContributionAn expert in strategic sourcing and supplier management who applies broad business knowledge, Mobility market insight, and an understanding of emerging technologies to solve complex commercial and supply-chain challenges and drive measurable business results.Leads critical, high-impact sourcing initiatives and complex supplier negotiations with significant financial, operational, and customer impact.Operates with minimal oversight, exercising sound judgment in ambiguous and rapidly changing market conditions.Advises senior leaders, develops executive-ready recommendations, and influences cross-functional decisions related to supplier strategy, commercial terms, risk, and product readiness.Serves as a thought leader and mentor, sharing expertise and helping others navigate complex sourcing, contracting, and supplier-management challenges.Supervisor - NoEducation/ExperienceBachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired.7+ years of related experience.Master's degree preferredPreferred experience in the Telecommunication industry Our Principal Sourcing Management jobs earn between $116,700.00 - $196,100.00 USD Annual.
