Position Overview Lot Operations Specialist II – a management level, individual contributor position with Cox Automotive’s Vehicle Operations Group. This role is located at a specified Cox site in the USA and requires on‑site work; remote work is not available. Compensation Hourly base pay range: $15.10 – $22.69 per hour. The rate may vary depending on location and candidate qualifications. The position may also qualify for additional compensation such as commission (annual or monthly) and/or incentive programs. Job Responsibilities Organize and maintain the placement of vehicles within the designated zone or move area to meet the standard established by lot operations leadership. On a daily basis use information from the Supervisor and Lot Ops dashboards to make move decisions and stage the assigned zone area. Drive continuous improvement for safety and efficient vehicle movement in and out of the assigned zone. Move vehicles and stage them safely to proper work destinations, eliminating multiple drop‑off points and reducing less‑than‑full loads. Confirm that all vehicles can operate safely; engage service and tow truck for any inoperable vehicles. Label vehicles with sale and routing labels to maintain accurate movements and reduce the need for crew leaders to print and label staged units before transport. Communicate with crew leaders and managers regarding inventory levels and set priorities. Demonstrate Cox/Manheim values, respect for all employees, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Model safety commitments by following safety and health procedures and behaviors. Perform additional duties assigned by management. Qualifications Minimum: High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years of related experience. Alternative: Any degree or certification beyond high school in a related discipline, or 5 years of related experience. Safe driver with a valid driver's license and ability to drive standard and automatic transmissions. Basic mechanical knowledge (e.g., flat tires, low gas, jump starts). Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift 1–15 pounds, and the required visual acuity. Knowledge of lot operations or layout is preferred; knowledge of LDM is preferred. Ability to stand, walk, reach, talk, hear, and adjust focus as required. Work Environment Constant exposure to outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise levels. Drug Testing Pre‑employment drug testing is required. No marijuana testing is administered for this position.
