About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN - PCU Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Must-Have: - BLS - ACLS - NIH Certification Description: We are seeking a Travel RN for a PCU unit. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 4:1 but may flex to 5:1 during staffing shortages. The unit manages stroke patients, cardiac drips, patients on continuous BiPAP, and post-procedure patients. The PCU has 25 beds and 54 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff. The night shift comprises 1 charge RN, 6 staff RNs, and 3 PCTs. Equipment includes BiPAP, restraints, Airvo, seizure precautions, bedside monitoring, and telemetry. The electronic medical record (EMR) system used is Meditech. Candidates must possess BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications to be considered. Preferred qualifications include preceptor experience and charge nurse experience. Typical procedures performed on the unit include emergent thoracentesis and telemetry monitoring. We are looking for compassionate team players who communicate well with an interdisciplinary team.
