Genesis Compounding Pharmacy is a growing compounding pharmacy located in Draper, Utah, serving patients, healthcare providers, and healthcare partners with customized pharmaceutical solutions. Our pharmacy is focused on providing high-quality compounded medications while maintaining strong standards for patient safety, quality, compliance, and service.

As we continue to grow, we are expanding our pharmacy operations and building a team that values collaboration, accountability, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service. Our team works closely across pharmacy, operations, and business development to create a seamless experience for our customers and healthcare partners.

This is an on-site position in Draper, Utah, offering the opportunity to work directly with our pharmacy and business development teams in a fast-paced, growing environment.

 

Position Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing customer relationships while ensuring seamless execution between clients and internal teams. This is a high-impact, proactive role that requires strong communication, collaboration and alignment with leadership and internal teams. 
The Account Manager works closely with the Director of Business Development to execute sales strategy, support revenue growth, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role goes beyond administrative tasks and is centered on building strong relationships, identifying opportunities, solving problems, and delivering measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

Account Ownership & Customer Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients based on trust and responsiveness
• Understand customer needs and align them with the company capabilities
• Proactively identify opportunities for account growth, upselling, and expansion.

 

Proactive Account Management

• Actively monitor account activity, do not wait for issues to arise
• Anticipate customer needs and communicate updates before being asked
• Follow up consistently on open items, orders, and requests
• Drive solutions, not just communication

Sales Execution & Support

• Partner with the Director of Business Development to execute sales strategy and growth initiatives
• Support new business opportunities and strategic accounts
• Assist in preparing quotes, proposals, and pricing strategies
• Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the bridge between customers and internal teams
• Coordinate internally to ensure orders are processed accurately, timelines are met, and customer expectations are clearly communicated

Issue Resolution & Accountability

• Take ownership of customer issues and drive them to resolution
• Escalate risks or delays proactively to the Director of Business Development
• Communicate clearly and professionally with both customers and internal teams
• Always ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

Sales Operations & Reporting

• Maintain accurate customer data, communications, and opportunities in CRM
• Track account performance, open orders, and follow-ups
• Participate in: Pipeline reviews, forecast meetings, Account reviews

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Account revenue growth
• Customer retention and satisfaction
• Responsiveness and follow-through
• Number of proactive client interactions
• Accuracy and timeliness of order coordination
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required

• Experience in B2B environments (business-to-business)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments
• High level of accountability and ownership
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills

 

Preferred

• Experience in contract manufacturing, medical device, or regulated industries
• Familiarity with GMP / FDA environments
• Experience working cross-functionally with operations teams

 

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in account management, sales, or customer-facing roles

 

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• CRM systems (preferred)
• Strong organizational and tracking skills
