About the Role:
Mayrant Transportation LLC is looking for a driven and professional Class A Owner Operator to join our growing team out of West Columbia, SC. Responsibilities:
Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight safely and on schedule
Manage all aspects of your owner-operator business including fuel, maintenance, and route planning
Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS) rules, and safety standards
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and delivery confirmations
Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with customers, shippers, and receivers
Keep accurate records including bills of lading, trip reports, and fuel receipts
Requirements:
Minium 25 years old
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) required
Must own and operate your own commercial truck (Owner Operator)
Clean MVR and satisfactory safety record
Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred
Minimum 2 years of verifiable Flatbed/step deck experience
Must meet all DOT physical and medical certification requirements
Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
Based in or able to operate out of the West Columbia, SC area
Equipment: Trailers available for rent
Pay:
80/20 Split Insurance included
$250 for all pass DOT inspections
