Visit TextronSystems.com & Lycoming.com to read more about who we are and the products we make!About This RoleThe Uncrewed Air and Land Systems team in Hunt Valley is seeking a motivated, self-driven, and organized Project Engineer to join our growing group, working on innovative products within the air and ground robotics domains.This interdisciplinary role involves supporting the full life cycle development of our products, including new product development, product upgrades, payload design, integration and test, and fielding solutions for military and commercial customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware and/or software integration, managing requirements derivation and allocation, and working successfully within a collaborative team environment. A strong desire to take ownership of design efforts to ensure the integration of new technology into our vehicles is essential.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with Program Management to tightly control program schedule and budgetResolve schedule, resource, and technical conflictsNavigate and lead multidiscipline teams through unusually complex technical problems and provide solutionsCollaborate with functional managers to organize and delegate key tasksAct as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications. Chair (or delegate) responsibilities to execute change control boards for your project /productAssess risk and approve Test Readiness ReviewsDevelop discretionary funding plans and requests outlining program needs for successful executionProvide recommendations to senior management regarding critical risk acceptanceDevelop proposals (cost and technical) and basis of estimates for new business opportunitiesManage and control system configurations and bills of materialsDevelopment and delivery of program technical CDRLsAbility to travel up to 15%Active Secret Clearance preferred; Secret Clearance eligibility required.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline, graduate degree in engineering or management disciplines desired8+ years of related experienceDevelopment of systems architectures and concepts of operationsExperience in program planning, control account management, and risk managementExperience in leading internal and external programmatic and technical reviewsExperience in proposal processes and basis of estimate reviewHow We CareAt Textron Systems, our talented people make us successful.
