Verification and Validation Test Engineer

Job Title

Duties to be Performed: Support the Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) and Operational Test & Evolution (OT&E) of the FAA Traffic Flow Management System; Follow Test Processes/Best Practices; Develop/Review Test Procedures, System Docs; Assist in identifying, analyzing, coordinating, resolving & reporting the resolution of system improvements and defect resolution.

Qualifications Years of experience: searching for all levels of experience Minimum Required: Relevant Exp & Bachelor's Degree (e.g. Physical Sciences, Comp Sci, Info Sys/Technology, Engineering, Business Admin, Finance or other related/relevant discipline) or 5 yrs relevant exp may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree. Team-Oriented and Ability to Communicate technical info orally/in writing for a wide audience. Previous Experience Required: Review Baseline Change Request (BCR) documentation, Use Case, related Automated Information Management System (AIMS), TFMS Deployment Team TFMDT provided documents, mockups, and any other related document to understand the change/enhancement. Asses system trouble reports and software corrections to develop complex test procedures to validate the software correction effectiveness. Enter findings into the Automated Issues Management System (AIMS). Perform regression testing and document test results. Observe OEM test events, document observations and provide recommendations to FAA for action. Desired Experience Required: Knowledge of the Traffic Flow Management System. Experience performing test activities per the WJHTC testing methodologies. Review and comment on OEM deliverables to the FAA. Create or modify test tools or simulators. Perform testing at operational locations.
