The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides personal care and related services to patients. The Patient
Care Technician may operate as a patient’s caregiver under the direction, instruction and supervision of a doctor, nurse and/or medical professional.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent preferred
At least one (1) year of successful work experiencepreferred
National Certified Patient Care Technician (NCPCT)certification preferred and may be required per state/contract
Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
