Restaurant in Little Havana. Bistro 8, part of Michelin awarded Showa Hospitality group ( will be a traditional bistro styled fine dining restaurant with a Mexican inspired menu. Executive chef Pancho Ibanez, has crafted a beautiful Mexican cuisine. This concept will serve to fine dining standards in an upscale casual environment.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices
• Support food safety protocols by adhering to health regulations and sanitation procedures at all times
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours, contributing to a smooth kitchen operation
• Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating with precision and care
• Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, providing excellent food service that exceeds expectations

Skills

• Background in food preparation or food industry environments
• knife skills
• Experience with kitchen service and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper kitchen hygiene procedures
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards during peak hours
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure seamless service delivery

Job Type: Part-time (16hrs)
